Bea, who began appearing as a part-time actress in Irish or British TV shows in 2009, made her debut as a stand-up comedian in 2011. As early as 2012 Bea began appearing on sitcoms or sketch comedy. Following her win at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was invited to appear on a number of panel show. In 2016 and 2017, she served as a team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. Also, she is a contestant of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was the daughter of Brian and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. In 2012, she was the second woman to ever be awarded the So You Think you're Funny award. The surname she uses is Bea in honor of her deceased father. Aisling Cliodhnadh is a Kildare born woman. She was born in March 16, 1984. Bea's father Brian was a veterinarian for horses that committed suicide at three-years-old. But, she did not learn the cause of death until 13 years later. The stage name Bea is a tribute to her father. Bea was the author of an opinion piece for The Guardian, published in 2017 on her journey with suicide. Bea's mother Helen was also an instructor for jockeys and a former professional jockey was in charge of the care of her daughter as well as Sinead. The family was fascinated by racing meetings and horses. Bea began her career as an official guide for tourists for the Irish National Stud. But she quickly realized that her true passion was doing and not racing.
